Verdict

The lightly-raced Zarzal has shown that there is a race in him and he's by no means harshly treated for his Polytrack debut. Piece D'Or is another having her first start on the surface and she's done enough to warrant respect after a lay-off while Saint By Day gained his only success over this C&D and returned to form here two weeks ago. Melodie D'Amour is yet another having her first Polytrack start but she's done well on fast ground and was totally unsuited by heavy going last time. The assessor has raised ACUSHLADEAR 8lb for her victory over the C&D last week - her first run on the track - but she's been lightly-raced and is now making up for lost time so this presents a good opportunity for a quick double.
