In depth

Verdict

Brog Deas and SAMOLLIE are very closely matched on a line through Queenscliff, who has raced against them both recently, and it's only Gary Phillips' claim that swing things the latter's way. He has a 5lb penalty for last week's success here and will find Patrick Flynn's charge a major threat as he made a winning handicap debut on soft ground at Gowran on Thursday when he had Queenscliff just behind. Misteireach has hinted at ability and makes his handicap debut from a lowly mark while Stagecoach is another to have shown signs of form and Sam James' claim will be a help.
