Verdict

Ger Lyons has won this twice in the past three years but Kashmir Peak hasn't been running well enough to merit consideration. The bottom pair are also out of form but the remaining trio are all running well enough to take this. CHINA ONE has always been well regarded and was well supported when making an impressive debut over the C&D a month ago. He has much more to do here but an entry in the Derby Trial at Leopardstown suggests he's expected to go on to better things and he is handed the vote. Miracle Cure showed that he'd improved over the winter when gaining an easy victory over the consistent Roman General here in February. That was over a mile but tonight's trip will probably suit even more and he's a big threat as is Tannery, who ran very well here at the backend of last year and was caught in the shadow of the post over this trip at Leopardstown on his reappearance.
