Mads Black Eights won this a year ago and will be 4lb better in with Jack Kearney's claim taken into account but that was his only victory here in 15 starts. The Mpex Kid has won twice over a mile here and that appears to be his best trip while Portreath is still a maiden though the latter ran well over 1m4f on his debut here a fortnight ago. KAMPALA BEACH was in winning form here at the backend of last year and scored at Leopardstown in August. He didn't run well at Navan last time but is taken to bounce back with his rider's claim a major plus.
