In depth

Verdict

Stoichkhov benefited from Ray Dawson's claim when scoring over 7f two weeks ago with the disappointing pair Sweet Annathea and Tsar Paul behind and still looks well enough treated to make his presence felt. LILY'S PRINCE also took advantage of Gary Philips' claim when gaining his first success over the track and trip and though this is a better race there's more to come and a double beckons. Lord Kenmare won here in November and has been performing better than his form figures suggest lately so isn't out of this despite a big weight. Atlas Peak is inconsistent but can never be totally dismissed on a track where he's won five times.
