DROMBEG DUKE was making his debut on the track when landing a handicap over the trip and started a short-priced favourite over a mile a couple of weeks later but couldn't handle a 7lb rise. This is a poor handicap and Tom Madden can steer him to another victory. Eastern Star is making her handicap debut and has a big weight for such an inexperienced filly. Beleaguerment is 1-28 and that victory came at Kempton a year ago while Guiding isn't the most consistent and followed a victory over a mile here, when Kinch was behind, with a poor effort over this trip.
