Verdict

Federici won this marathon a year ago then followed up over hurdles. He has changed stables and hasn't shown much in the UK but Donald McCain will be hoping the track and trip bring out the best in him again. Anseanachai Cliste is a massive 10lb out of the weights as he makes his handicap debut but he's been virtually unbeatable between the flags and in hunter class over the past year so could still be well-in. FOLSOM BLUE bounced back to winning form at Navan earlier this month then ran a superb race in the Leinster National at Naas. He's only 2lb higher than when a close fourth in last year's Irish National so looks the one to be on. Tulsa Jack jumps and stays well but could only finish fifth a year ago while Angus Milan has no experience over this sort of trip. Definite Ruby could only finish seventh a year ago and, though twice successful later, he's another who has yet to prove he stays this far.
