In depth

Verdict

Mick Charlie makes a quick reappearance after scoring at Kilbeggan on Friday for which he's penalised. The excellent Shane Fitzgerald can again use his claim and his mount should make a bold bid for a double. Canadian Steel won this two years ago but hasn't been in the best of form and was pulled up behind ASK CORY (NAP) over fences here in May. The latter just failed to follow up on a return visit but can revert to hurdles on a 25lb lower mark so will take the world of beating. Lighthouse Rose won very easily over the track and trip in August and has continued in very good form on the track in her two recent starts but Ragin Cajun has been looking high enough in the weights after scoring at Down Royal in October.
