Verdict

Misty Lady went up 4lb for beating a very good field over this trip at Listowel but it didn't prevent her beating another strong line-up over an extra mile at Gowran. She's up another 6lb but will make a bold bid for the hat-trick. GENTLEMAN DUKE, who was three lengths behind her at Listowel, is 10lb better off and has since landed a very tough handicap over fences at Cork so looks on a lenient mark and can gain revenge and take this. Wes Hardin was left clear at the last for an easy maiden hurdle success at Listowel in June but was in the lead at the time and makes his handicap bow on a fair mark. Fethard Player is a very useful handicapper on his day as he showed when just failing to hold Astre De La Cour at Aintree in April while, at the other end of the weights, Supreme Vinnie continues to improve and is making his handicap debut.
