Verdict

Dermot Weld has a fine record in this race and Karasheni looks certain to go well after a fair run at Cork, though the form pick has to be ARISTOCRATIC MAN. Gordon Elliott's charge was only headed close home by Japan on heavy going at Listowel in September and the form could hardly have been better advertised. Granularity looked a certain future winner when runner-up at Clonmel and started a short-priced favourite at Dundalk but couldn't quicken when asked. Willie McCreery's grey can do better back on this surface while Wildewood stayed on nicely over a mile at Gowran and should get into contention with normal progress.
