        Verdict

        INDEPENDENCE DAY never threatened the winner Air Force Blue when fourth at the Curragh but the latter has since finished second in the Coventry at Royal Ascot and the form looks stronger in hindsight. Reckless Endeavour made the frame at Tipperary last time and can figure as he finished ahead of both China Eyes and Trenchtown Rock. The latter had also fallen victim to the selection earlier leaving Love Is All Around looking a bigger threat.
