Verdict

Tommy Carberry has won this twice in the past six years and will be looking to make it three via PEAK RAIDER, whose recent narrow defeats at Sligo and Galway, the latter when caught on the line over that extended two miles, suggest he is ready to gain his first success over fences. The progressive Kimberlite King probably needs further and along with Barneys Honour and Silent Creek returns after a long break while Knocknagow Leader isn't the best of jumpers and had to survive a bad mistake to score at Sligo last time. Mighty Massini won at the meeting a year ago but he's another with an absence to overcome while the handicapper appeared to have overreacted in giving Jigalo a 14lb rise for his victory at Gowran.
