In depth

Verdict

Winning point-to-pointer Good Time Donie has done nothing wrong in bumpers or over timber and looks certain to get competitive once again but, with the Willie Mullins band-wagon rolling at full stretch, it's time to jump on board and support DES RES. From a family of staying chasers, the son of Presenting didn't have the pace for a bumper on his debut but showed enough promise to suggest he will make his mark over timber before going chasing. Spot Hill looked potentially useful when just touched off by Sunwake at Naas but that was back in October 2009 and he may just need this. Saltino is another with potential though he has an even longer break to overcome, but winning point-to-pointer and bumper Vics Canvas can be given a chance after a fine opening run over hurdles at Limerick.
