Verdict

WHISKEY SOUR, a Grade 1 winner over hurdles back in 2017, has run some cracking races on the Flat and over timber in his time and ran very well in a Galway Festival handicap on the level after a long break. He should still have the quality to win a race of this nature so gets the nod. Jeff Kidder, another Grade 1 winner, has also been a great servant and wasn't beaten far in a Tipperary Grade 3 in July. Tullybeg has been chasing with some success but eleven-times winner The Jam Man hasn't been at his best for some time.
