In depth

Verdict

A rather low-key conclusion to an otherwise interesting card with QUILL ART taken to build on an improved showing last time when a respectable third at Musselburgh behind Shrewd. There is nothing of the latter's calibre on show here on evidence to date and the selection can provide Richard Fahey with a rare jumping success before the Yorkshire handler sets off in search of another double century on the level. Mazovian landed a nice touch on the Fibresand last time and is of interest back over timber, whilst Bourbon Prince showed glimpses of form in Ireland and now has a first run for Sam Drake who won with her first runner as a trainer earlier this week. Burner will find this company much easier than what he's faced to date and is the one to check in the market.
