Verdict

Wogan was sent off favourite for this last year but finished well beaten. He's 15lb lower now though has changed stables since and looks increasingly like a light of former days. Faasel is only a pound higher than when second in the bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown last year and will be all the better for a recent run at Warwick while Nikola is a regular in these veterans' races and won one at Aintree in October. Atouchbetweencara makes a swift reappearance after finishing fourth at Wincanton on Saturday and makes more appeal than Forzy Origny and Mumbles Head but MARK THE BOOK should take all the beating if reproducing the form of his win at Chepstow as he's still nicely treated on his old form.
