        Verdict

        It was soft going when Bielsa made a winning start at Redcar and Stoney Lane recorded his win at Wetherby over 7f. Harry's Bar is proving best on the all-weather so far but The Thorny Rose posted a much better effort at Redcar recently and stablemate Guarded Secret is related to no less than 10 winners. Dreaming Away found only one too good at Newcastle in November and should go well on her return to action but JOHNNY REB is just preferred. He came up against Fox Champion, a leading fancy in Sunday’s German 2000 Guineas, at Kempton in October and Jeremy Noseda’s colt gets the vote on that form.
