In depth

Verdict

Angel Delight is probably the safest option here, with Figaro du Rocher and York Rite put forward as the main rivals. John Spearing's mare has performed consistently well in similar races. She finished an excellent third behind Cosmocrat at Ludlow last time and encounters similar opponents this afternoon, a big run is expected. Figaro du Rocher was going well when falling at half-way in that Ludlow contest and did go off favourite following a victory in a selling hurdle. If he jumps round today he is entitled to be there or thereabouts, but was pulled up in a hurdle next time and may have lost his confidence. York Rite has come up against the improving Manbow on his last two outings, and he is one of the more experienced fencers here, he looks set to playa major role. This is not a race to risk your mortgage, but Angel Delight could be the best proposition
