In depth

Verdict

This looks an interesting maiden on paper and support for any one of the newcomers must be noted. However, the standard set by once-raced BLUE BUNTING is a reasonable one and she should take some beating if improving for a fine debut at Newmarket, when no match for a potentially smart winner but three-lengths ahead of a solid marker. From the same ownership, Alareen may prove the biggest threat although she does wear a tongue-tie on debut which is slightly disconcerting. That said she's from a lovely middle-distance family and could be anything. Midnight Caller is bred to make a decent two-year-old and John Gosden has saddled a host of winners this week so she too is respected although her stable companion Palitana would be of clear interest if supported in preference to her. Chesnut Coffee and Miss Villefranche are just two others to consider.
