Verdict

Mahmood Al Zarooni's BARANSKY has run well when being placed in his last two starts over seven furlongs, should not be inconvenienced by the drop back to six being by Green Desert, and he can gain a deserved first success with the main danger rated as City Legend. Alan McCabe's colt made a pleasing debut in a Windsor maiden last month when third to Majestic Dream and he has to be considered. Dictionary is an interesting newcomer trained by William Haggas and it will be interesting to see how the market shapes up for him, while David Simcock's Fast Samurai is similarly well bred and could also be a contender first time up. Saeed Bin Suroor's Signs In The Sand was well held on his first start at Goodwood but the yard is in better form now and he is likely to do better but the other Godolphin-owned runner in the race, Baransky, looks the one to beat.
