    Verdict

Matters are rarely straightforward when Godolphin has multiple entries in races like this and the fact that Dettori is on board Secrecy, off the track since finishing fourth in a Listed contest at Newmarket in October, isn't necessarily an indicator that he's their best hope of success. We prefer stablemate Invisible Man, whose fitness is proven. He ran a cracking race under a big weight in the Royal Hunt Cup last month and is back to his best. But let's take a chance on PALAVICINI, who is favoured by the weights in this and perfectly capable of running well fresh. Successful in a Grade 3 two years ago, he would take all the beating if reproducing the form of his third to Sir Putra on his reappearance at Newmarket last season. Lord Zenith should strip fitter for his return to action at Ascot and is preferred to Colonial of the others.
