Maggie Pink was a well-beaten runner-up in last year's renewal and has been raised 10lb for winning at Newmarket a week ago. Evanescent is another recent winner but only just got the better of Comino and Mujazif at Catterick with several others of these further behind. MELVIN THE GRATE is upped only 3lb for winning over a mile at Haydock last time. He was all out to prevail by a neck on that occasion so should be suited by today's shorter trip and has to close with a repeat effort. Last week's Newmarket winner Personal Touch is another to consider and Fieldgunner Kirkup is expected to go well on his preferred going.
