Medici Pearl, Axiom and Phantom Whisper make the shortlist in this trappy finale with MEDICI PEARL taken to score with ground conditions to suit. All of Axiom's three wins have come with give in the ground, and he looks progressive. He is seven pounds higher here and this trip may be a little on the short side so he is opposed. Phantom Whisper returned to form at Goodwood last time and is only four pounds higher here. He is another who will enjoy the ground and he has won over the trip. However, he can put in the odd modest effort. Medici Pearl took two competitive handicaps in fine style on similar ground, before running a blinder to be third on a quicker surface last time. Medici Pearl has been raised another three pounds for that sound effort but he can prove a gem to send the punters home happy. (John Temple)
