Rated 103, COLD CASE has the strongest form of these having finished third in the Gimcrack Stakes at York last time with Galeron and Waiting All Night well behind. Karl Burke’s colt will find this easier and won’t mind any rain. Legend Of Xanadu has a shout at the weights but several are less exposed including Windsor maiden winner Magical Sunset. The latter’s stablemate Hectic found Alpha Capture too good at Carlisle and Eminency is another improving novice winner. Holguin never figured in the Coventry at Ascot but is worth a second glance given his yard has won two of the last three renewals.
