Verdict

This looks a very competitive bumper and previous winners Hes Our Lad and Kawa are probably facing a stiff task at the weights. Majorica King shaped with some promise when second to Ericht at Huntingdon, while Close House landed the odds at Ayr in January. Kings Lodge may do better when tackling hurdles and a longer trip, however, while Holme Rose will probably need her comeback run. Magnifique Etoile was third on his debut at Fontwell and Montbazon found only one too good at Kempton last month. Greywell Boy can build on a fair run at Warwick and newcomer Oscar Nominee has a decent pedigree but D'GIGI may be worth another chance to get off the mark as she had subsequent Wetherby winner Distime behind when runner-up at Musselburgh last time.
