      Verdict

      One of those old racing adages is to follow a filly in form and we are going to do that here with FAVOURITE GIRL, while Speedy Senorita and Poppy's Rose are others with claims. The Tim Easterby-trained pick carries a 6lbs penalty for scoring at Warwick last week over 6f, and she now drops to the minimum trip. Although she was beaten over this far at York prior to that recent success, she showed plenty of speed and will take some pegging back. Speedy Senorita has not managed to live up to her name since a Beverley win last August but she shaped much better last time out from today's mark. As a specialist over the trip she is much respected. Poppy's Rose, on the other hand, has gone up in the weights courtesy of a Thirsk win two starts back and she was just found wanting last time, with no obvious excuses. Dispol Kylie has frame claims on ground that is plenty quick enough and Favourite Girl can score. Jonathan Doidge.
