Verdict

Only one favourite has won this in 10 years. Jim Bolger runs Chroussa and the newcomer Intense Debate but the former was well beaten on her only start at this level at Ascot. Minorette set the pace in a Listed contest over a mile here a couple of weeks ago and was still in front at this trip before being caught inside the final furlong by Avenue Gabriel and Ballybacka Queen. This should prove her distance and she can lead them a merry dance but a line through the runner-up gives TARFASHA the edge as she easily beat her at the Galway Festival. My Titania provided John Oxx with some relief after a dismal season when scoring at Leopardstown three weeks ago and can only get better.
