Sirjack Thomas won this last year at 25/1 then landed a premier handicap at Galway at double those odds so shouldn’t be dismissed from just 2lb higher. Stable companion PIERRE LAPIN (NAP) raced in Dubai without success earlier this year but made an eye-catching return in a premier handicap here last month when finishing strongly into fourth. The runner-up No More Porter is an obvious threat but the selection can reverse the form with that run under his belt. Dante’s Pass has a long absence to overcome but looks the type to do well this campaign while his stablemate River Eden made a winning debut last July and raced in Group 3 and Listed company later. Fastnet Crown is invariably thereabouts at this sort of level and could snatch a place at a fair price.
