In depth

Verdict

Hamley has won twice around here and is only 3lb higher than his last winning mark. Andy Slattery has done brilliantly since acquiring Solene Lilyette though she's up a massive 12lb for completing a double at Leopardstown. Cape Islay was on a long losing run before scoring comfortably at Limerick but, though 7lb higher, has won from a higher mark in the past. The lightly-raced Bright Idea followed a maiden victory at Killarney with a length defeat in a premier handicap here last month when the ground was very testing. He's gone up 4lb but has to be respected though LORD PARK (NAP) looks the one to beat. Just over a length behind the latter at Killarney, he's since won easily at Sligo and can meet his rival on 11lb better terms with his rider's claim taken into consideration.
