Verdict

EMPIRICO, who was fourth in this lucrative handicap a year ago, returns in top form for another crack. He had the consistent Possible and subsequent winner Statue Of Dreams in the places when scoring over the C&D three weeks ago when Allegra Tak was well beaten and though raised 8lb he should be good enough. UK trainers have a good record in this so First In Command, a winner on soft ground at Haydock last month and a regular visitor to this track in his early days, is one with a sound chance. Bubbly Bellini completed a hat-trick over longer trips while the assessor looks to have got hold of Bogini.
