Verdict

Rigoletta had been running well before getting off the mark at Dundalk and though 6lb higher is probably still well enough handicapped. However, she was receiving 5lb from Free Spin when beaten a neck at Dundalk earlier and the latter should confirm the form and go well. Elusive In Paris and Star Links have also been in fine form on Polytrack, the latter at Wolverhampton, but it's HOT BED who gets the nod in a highly competitive handicap. David Wachman's colt, a winner on his third start last November, was having just his second race since when a very commendable head second to Stuccodor at Killarney where he only ran out of steam close home. With that under his belt he can go one better though there are numerous dangers including the consistent Brog Deas.
