Many of these are old friends who beat each other in turn though the three-year-old Illetas showed real battling qualities to land a 5f Navan maiden on soft ground and doesn't look overburdened for his handicap debut. Another youngster, Flaming Moon, a winner at Navan in October, made a very encouraging comeback here last month and, though 5lb higher, has to be respected. Blairmayne has won twice around here and reappeared after a long break with a very good run at Naas and is just 2lb higher than when landing a course and distance handicap in August but Arcanears is better on the all-weather and is 6lb higher here and couldn't get close to Fastar when the latter won easily at Naas in March. He's been hit with a 10lb rise which makes this much tougher and ARDHOOMEY is handed the vote to gain his third course victory. Ger Lyons' charge has a big weight but invariably goes well here, as he did on his return from a long break when just failing to concede Maid Of Spirit 13lb last month. Master Matt was engaged in the 3.55 at Navan yesterday so that result should be monitored as he would have a chance in both contests.
