Verdict

GREAT MINDS comfortably beat Bold Thady Quill in this last year and though he'd already had a run a few days earlier he won first time out the previous season and can complete the double. Bobby's Kitten is an obvious threat as his last two runs have been in Group 1 company but he's a fast ground performer and conditions are against him. Gordon Lord Byron is a Group 1 winner who generally operates at a very high level but may just lack the sharpness needed for this after a break since November. Flight Risk landed a Group 3 on soft ground last April but prefers another furlong.
