Verdict

Berry Des Aulmes started off over hurdles with a fine effort behind Ball D'Arc at Limerick but has become disappointing. He made the early running at Clonmel last month but a few errors put paid to his chances and he soon capitulated. He still has potential but has become expensive to follow and KAISER BLACK looks the safer option. Pat Doyle's winning point-to-pointer has been making steady progress over timber and showed his liking for testing conditions when chasing home Wishmoor at Leopardstown earlier this month. Macs Legend has been chasing but is still a maiden over jumps as is A Hardy Nailer, though the latter has won a bumper and scored between the flags so shouldn't be dismissed. Goose Man hasn't shown much to date and Bechampion is bred for the Flat.
