Verdict

PIRES won this a year ago and though Tony Martin's very versatile performer is 21lb higher in the weights this isn't much tougher and he can go in again. Cause Of Causes has won five times over hurdles but never over fences though he warmed up for this with a good run at Galway. Absolutlyfantastic won on the Flat in July and fast ground should enable him to compete at this level. Ballyfinboy won easily on soft ground at Galway in August and could do with some rain unlike Boxer Beat, who had him behind when scoring easily at Killarney in July. Run With The Wind appeared to run out of steam over 2m4f last time after an impressive victory at Listowel.
