John Joe Walsh has won this for the past two years but Presentingoscar has been very disappointing over hurdles after his bumper success at Thurles. He finished tailed off behind De Plotting Shed at Clonmel when Crown Hill was runner-up though beaten 47 lengths by the long odds-on winner. Gran Cavallo was a very easy debut winner between the flags then did well to finish a close second to Oscar Lantern over timber at Thurles but didn't show the expected improvement at Punchestown. STOWAWAY SHARK also scored on his opening run in a point-to-point and has done enough over hurdles to suggest he can win a race of this nature. He was taking on better company when fourth to Jett at Leopardstown a couple of weeks ago and should find this more to his liking.
