Verdict

Aidan O'Brien's incredible run of bumper victories has come to an end with a couple of poor recent runs but Lieutenant is still likely to attract good support as he bids to get the stable back on track. Paddy Gunzales had shown nothing before a much improved run behind Supreme Vinnie at Clonmel while Miss Ellis Island came in for good support at Wexford but unseated her rider early in the race. SIXTH AVENUE was still in the lead and going well enough when ducking out and unseating his rider at Tipperary. That looked a decent contest and if behaving himself this time he can make amends.
