In depth

Verdict

Fred The Foot gave notice of an imminent victory when fourth in a big field at Cork and duly obliged when stepped up to 2m6f at Down Royal. He's up 8lb but looks certain to be suited by today's extra. Biddy The Boss has been running well all year and showed her liking for the trip when making all at Wexford. She's still on the upgrade and fairly treated so has an obvious chance of completing a double. Na Trachtalai Abu is tough and consistent but better over fences though reverts to hurdles on a 13lb lower mark. DOUBLE WINDSOR won twice over fences during the summer and finished runner-up over timber at Tramore last month. He wouldn't want the ground to ease too much but looks well enough treated to go in again with Barry Browne's claim a bonus.
