Verdict

Silver Gazette, just outpaced over the minimum at Tramore, was up with the pace throughout when tackling 2m7f at Thurles but couldn't catch Favori De Champdou, who looks a nice prospect. He's trained by Gordon Elliott, who has LANDRAKE entered here. He's shown potential in bumpers but his pedigree is all about jumping and Jack Kennedy can steer him to an opening victory. Winning point-to-pointer Corbetts Cross is penalised for last month's Cork bumper victory but Easy Fella made a very promising hurdling bow at Punchestown back in May. Henry De Bromhead has his horses in top form and Potters Party, runner-up at Castlelands in March, has joined he yard.
