In depth

Verdict

QATEA (NAP) showed the odd glimpse of form in his first season and was well supported on his comeback in a handicap at Sligo on Sunday which he won in very comfortable fashion. He's been handed an 8lb rise, which could have been more, so coming here with a 5lb penalty looks the correct option and a quick double looks on the cards. Lucie Rie makes her handicap debut and has only shown moderate form to date, a remark that also applies to Gainmill Lady, though she was noted staying on over a mile at Dundalk last month. Nice Vintage was a 25/1 on her reappearance at Limerick but ran well enough over a slightly longer trip to be considered for a place.
