Boro Tari had shown enough in bumpers to attract support on his hurdling debut at Wexford and he duly obliged so there should be more to come. Brog Ahaon had been running moderately before racing on soft ground for the first time at Kilbeggan and making all so any easing in the conditions will be in his favour. Licklighter, 0-18 over hurdles, won over fences at Wexford in July while the four-year-old Peaches And Cream won a Downpatrick handicap by 14 lengths before finding Killarney three days later coming too quick. Cats For Cash was heavily supported for a Downpatrick maiden and made all while Laureate also won over that same track and trip before just touched off on a return visit.
