Verdict

Aydoun won on his debut and wasn't beaten far on last year's reappearance so goes well fresh. Laid Back Luke loves heavy ground, as he demonstrated over hurdles in February, and can never be dismissed in these conditions. St Lawrence Gap finished runner-up in this a year ago before completing a double. All of those runs were on quick ground but he showed these conditions hold no terrors with a cracking victory at Limerick and a 6lb rise shouldn't prevent another big effort. HARETH had been in fine form over hurdles before reverting to the Flat and beating the in-form Prospectus at Navan. He's up 7lb but still looks well treated and a double looks on the cards.
