        Verdict

        Purcell landed a double at Lingfield but failed to figure in today's grade off a higher mark last time. Tellovoi makes more appeal off his current mark but will not want anymore rain while Laffan was beaten four lengths in last year's renewal but has Rachel Richardson's 7lb allowance helping him out on this occasion. Pacific Heights remains 6lb higher than his latest win but Newstead Abbey is not badly weighted if at his best. DEAUVILLE PRINCE was well beaten over a mile here earlier in the month on his first start since March last year. But he led the field until the final furlong and could take some pegging back over this shorter trip if allowed to make the running once again.
