    In depth

    Verdict

This is a tight handicap and we will seek some value and side with Philanthropy to get the better of Cabinet and Buccellati. This 3-year-old from the Kevin Ryan yard does like to race prominently so this track could suit his style of racing. He was a little disappointing last time out but he will handle the cut in the ground he should run a big race at a price. Cabinet heads the list of alternatives as he was unlucky when he was squeezed for room at Beverley last time. He is clearly going the right way and he is also proven with cut in the ground so he looks to have solid claims. Buccellati beat Soft Morning by a short head at Doncaster last time and if he can reproduce that effort here he will not be far away, but he is not the most straightforward and he is not one to place maximum faith in. New Star is a course and distance winner and can be considered, along with Regal Parade who hails from a yard in form. However, for the winner we will stick with Philanthropy.
