Verdict

VICKY VALENTINE won a shade cosily over 1m4f at Newcastle last time and may be capable of shrugging off a 4lb weight rise with Julie Burke claiming 3lb. Duke Of Yorkshire won over a similar trip at Catterick and is entitled to respect along with course winner Eton Rambler, who is on a hat-trick, while Gabrial The Master always seems to run well here but is climbing the weights despite not winning. Edwyn Ralph was third to the prolific Beacon's Lady at Brighton last time but is still chasing a first victory on Turf.
