Verdict

Gabrial The Tiger won this back in 2016 though finished well behind stablemate Penwortham when the latter won last year’s renewal. But Richard Fahey’s charge has had no luck with the draw this time and neither has That Is The Spirit, who will need to be quickly away to adopt his usual front-running tactics. Shawaamekh is another drawn high after winning at York while Luzum is upped in class carrying a penalty after scoring at Thirsk recently. Headgear is applied to Queen's Sargent and she could go well but DRAGONS TAIL was winning off a higher mark here last year and having shown signs of a return to form over a shorter trip at the track last time, Tom Dascombe’s charge gets the nod.
