      Verdict

Theology's best form in pattern company gives him every chance, but he didn't go a yard at York last time and there must have been something amiss. French import Ile De Re won a Shergar Cup race over 2m at Ascot on his first start for Ian Williams but faces different conditions here, while this is much tougher than the race Berling won at Pontefract earlier this month. Eternal Heart landed a hat-trick earlier in the season but has found life difficult in better company since, though she did have a few of these behind when fifth at York last time including Tominator and ICON DREAM. The latter has since gone close at Goodwood and finished a respectable seventh in the Chester Cup here in May. David Simcock's charge could finally end a losing run today. Chock A Block could prove best of the rest as Listed winner Almail makes his UK and seasonal debut.
