Verdict

ROYAL BONSAI was only beaten a nose on his hurdling debut over C&D in June and, though that form doesn't look particularly strong, has been placed twice on the Flat since. The experience of John Quinn's gelding is an advantage today and he should open his account over timber. Residence And Spa can improve on his fourth at Bangor but was a frustrating sort on the level. Szabo's Destiny was the best of these on the Flat and looks the pick of the newcomers, though has become a little disappointing lately.
