      Verdict

Fingal's Cave is best on turning tracks and Brian Ellison’s charge has plummeted down the weights but all the evidence suggests this will be too far for the six-year-old. MIKMAK has proved a revelation since joining Tim Easterby and followed up an unlucky second at Haydock with a gutsy win at Ripon nine days ago. Just 2lb higher today, he should take all the beating as Zihaam’s easy win at Carlisle came in a Class 6 contest. Beverley scorer Hats Off To Larry has every chance but Maghfoor was well behind the selection on his reappearance and is probably better over longer trips. It would be no surprise if first-time headgear brought about some improvement in Ice Canyon
