Last year’s winner Gabrial The Devil was due to run here yesterday but both Gabrial The Wire and Paws For Thought missed engagements in the same race. Powerallied makes most appeal of Richard Fahey’s four runners after placing here last time but the likes of Lihou, Indian Creak and Out The Hat have been done no favours by the draw. ABATE likes to race up with the pace and, dropping back down in class having landed a double in July, he gets the nod. Major Jumbo has shown no sign of taking advantage of a slide down the weights and Bossipop would prefer some cut in the ground.
